ToyMuchInformation! - A Little Ending

It's Penny's Box time again.  Turns out, when I don't look to see what they're up to for a couple of years, they put out several new series.  This one in particular is "Spirit of the Book", which seems to be an offshoot of the "Cute Beast Magic Series".  I was tempted by the latter, but I see a hamster there in the lineup, and when there is a hamster in blind box series, I almost always get the hamster.  I wanted to avoid another hamster in the collection, so I happened to come across the Spirit of the Book dolls on Amazon.  Odd that they were on Amazon when the box clearly states "KikaGoods Exclusive" (and also "Winter Limiyed Edition" =p), but I'll take it.  I preordered something else off KikaGoods to make up for it.

Google Translate is a real jokester; it keeps referring to poor Antu as a eucalyptus plant.  For the love of god, please check out the poem and character blurb translations on the website links above.  They're actually pretty good.

This is, oddly enough, one of those cases where the promo photos are better than the character art.  Apologies to the artist - it's a failing on my part and not theirs.  The character art for Epilogue and her sister doll Prologue comes in the form of little acrylic standees whose bases are meant to connect if you have both dolls.  Prologue is also amazing, but...she's a rodent.  I know I could swap the ears and tails and whatnot, but one doll at a time.

The info sheet for Epilogue here features the Cute Beast girls instead of Epilogue or Prologue, but they all work the same way.

Epilogue has a fairly complicated little outfit.  It's very detailed, to be honest.  Mine, for whatever reason, came without the bat wings she's pictured with everywhere else.  Her dress does have a snap in the back where they're supposed to be attached, though.  I ended up putting her headdress back there instead because it felt like it made her head too busy when it was up there, and I love her little sheep horns.  She comes with extra hands, one pair of which are I suppose magical, since they look a little like small gloves and are transparent to match her hooves.

I like her body type.  It's very Final Fantasy 9, and the larger hands and feet suit the proportions well.  Her little sheep tail just kills me.

Penny's Box stepped up their little details with this one - Epilogue has little hearts under her hooves instead of the standard frogs.  Look at those little peeties!

Being elastic-strung, she's in dire need of some sueding and is kicky enough that it's a little difficult to get her to pose on the fly.  I have her staff helping to prop her up here just in case.  She doesn't so much hold it - despite having gripping hands - as coexist with it, but it's a nicely made accessory.

Despite being digitigrade (and a sheep), Epilogue could pass for Neon's long-lost sister from a distantly related mister.  Looking at the two of them together here, I could really see the quality and detail progression from Dreamlike Tea Party to Cute Beast.  I think DTP was the second blind box series they put out, back in 2023.  Yes, Epilogue is a special edition doll, but this level of detail seems to be consistent even with the Cute Beast dolls as well.

u wot m8?

It was around this point that I realized Epilogue has molded eyelashes, not just painted ones.  She got a couple of glamour shots after that =p

Moisturized, can't be bothered.

For being roughly the same height as Neon, Epilogue is notably heavier.  She's a literal handful and very solidly built.  The oversized extremities to help with her stability, but those joints, man....
